The Truth About The Victoria’s Secret Model Diet

Hi Vanderfits and welcome to a brand new video, so as you guys all know today is the day of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion
Show and I’m so super excited so I thought why not make a special video for
you guys with a question that I saw a lot in the comment section which is: “what
do Victoria’s Secret models eat leading up to the show?” so especially for you
guys I did my research and I found some interviews and articles in which the
models explain exactly what they eat leading up to the biggest event of the
year so let’s get right into it and let’s get started with Martha Hunt. So
there are some rumors that Victoria’s Secret models eat nothing at all, that
they are on very strict diets, that leading up to the show they only do detoxes and
just drink juices all the time but that is completely false.
Especially for Martha Hunt who told Bazaar that she actually ups her calorie intake
leading up to the show because the workouts are so heavy that they just
require you to eat more calories and she loves to eat almonds and peanut butter
because of course those are very rich in those ‘good fats’ that we all need
especially while working out like crazy Romee Strijd, one of my favorite angels
also has a youtube channel on which she shows that even during traveling she
likes to eat healthy and she just prepares her own food with lots and lots
of avocados like for example these buckwheat crackers with avocado and then
peanut butter and banana which is her favorite snack and she also loves fruits. Especially dragon fruit that she’s eating right here which i think is so
delicious Then Devon Windsor, she likes to eat lots
and lots of protein before her workouts especially eggs she is a fan of poached
eggs and then for lunch she usually has a nice salad from the farmers market.
Kelly Gale says she also focuses on protein and she eats lots of chicken
and turkey and eggs but also fruits and vegetables and she likes to make sure
that she gets enough vitamins and antioxidants from berries and spirulina
Karlie Kloss says that breakfast is her favorite meal of the day and I can
totally understand why because I always get so excited when I wake up in the
morning, that’s usually the first thing that I think about is oh my god I can
have my breakfast right now. I can’t leave the house without eating something
because otherwise I would just faint and not feel good the whole day and Karlie Kloss feels the same and she usually makes porridge or a egg white omelettes but she
also really likes protein shakes or just plain yogurt with fruits. Then Georgia
Fowler is more precise in her diet and she says that she keeps it at 80% fruits
and vegetables and then 10% protein and 10% fats. She likes to eat one avocado
a day and lots of nuts fish and she limits extra carbs and dairy.
She has a strict rule not to eat any processed foods and leading up to the
show she also cuts out sugar as much as she can and alcohol because she doesn’t
want to look bloated on the runway and I really appreciate the following quote of
her and that is that is more about a healthy lifestyle over the course of the
whole year instead of just really getting at it the minute before the show
and then just doing everything in your power to look slimmer she just says that
overall she tries to eat as clean as possible and she likes to keep the
balance in her diet which i think is very good. And then Lily Aldridge last
but not least she told Allure magazine that of course she also really loves
vegetables and protein and that her favorite dish is roasted chicken so that
is all the information that I’ve gathered for you so you can kind of see
what the Victoria’s Secret models eat Basically it’s just a lots of protein
because they work out so regularly and lots of veggies and fruits. Just a really normal diet in my opinion and nothing crazy and that is why the whole message
of this video is that of course it’s good to look up to people, I also look up
to the Victoria’s Secret models and it’s my dream to become one one day, but I
also feel like the show shouldn’t discourage you from anything and it
shouldn’t make you want to lose weight very fast and I really want to give you
guys that message in case you’re watching the show tonight because you
are beautiful just the way you are and these models they don’t starve themselves they have very healthy lifestyles very healthy diets so if you stumbled upon
this video by just searching how the Victoria’s Secret models eat and if you
want to do one of these crazy detox diets then please don’t. Just remember
that they eat clean the whole year they work out like crazy that is why their
bodies are what they are and of course also genetics plays a huge role but the
most important message is that they don’t start themselves. I personally
think it’s very important to get this message out there and also I’m a model
myself in case you didn’t know that and I’ve seen lots of girls trying to eat
very small amounts because they wanted to lose weight but that is just not the
way to go. Please stick to a very healthy diverse diet. Eat until you’re fulfilled. Try to get enough calories especially if you’re working out and just have fun
with it because of course you can also indulge on sweet things from time to
time. That is totally ok. So get your popcorn, get your snacks and get ready to

    I'm so glad you made a video that drives away the misconceptions that models starve themselves. There's a difference between starving yourself and eating healthy. So obviously models choose the latter and the sooner people realise this the better cause honestly their workouts are soooooo rigourous, they need to substitute for the lost energy. And some of them are naturally skinny , so it doesn't mean that they don't workout and only starve themselves. It is hard to be a model and I think we should respect them rather than saying that it's just about starving themselves and body shaming them.

    Well, I am eating and training like a victoria secret model for 7 months and I think it's great! It has become part of my life and since changing my life, not only has my body changed. I became much happier and more positive. I also became stronger, physically as well as mentally.
    Of course, you also helped me because you and some other people inspired me.

    Thank you so much! So many people are so prejudiced! I am not a model, but I am pretty slim myself. Why? Because I work out everyday and I eat healthy! It's not that hard. People either think I am starving or that you must be a nutritional expert to find the right diet. It's not rocket science, you can find all the information you need on the internet. And dont even start with the 'i dont have money for the gym', I always worked out from home, there are so many work outs on yt 😉 looking like this is a choice, you dont have to look like a vs model, but if you really want to, there are no actual excuses, unless you sit in a wheel chair or something. But I actually know a girl in a wheel chair whos pretty fit, so…

    It's kind of normal that these girls watch their food all year long. I mean… It's their job to be an icon. People shouldn't be spreading such gross rumors like "VS angels are starving". Anyone can make it, there is no miracle. 🙂
