Welcome to Mrs Flury! Today I’ll show you the recipe
for the best chocolate cake. This is a Paleo recipe – without flour, without white sugar
and it contains my favorite ingredient, and that is sweet potato. Now we’ll show you how that goes. Today, I have my daughter as my assistant with me. And now you can take it – the coconut
sugar… and now we’ll slip it through. Great. It slipped through. Then we need quite a lot of cocoa powder.
We’ll take unsweetened cocoa powder. Everything inside.
Everything through there. That is flour,
coconut flour to be precise. Coconut flour thickens the
liquidness and has a light, sweet flavor. We’ll also put in a lot of egg white and the “rough” coconut flour.
That’ll create even more clots and that’s why we’ll sieve it all through. But something’s still missing.
What? Salt… Just a pinch of salt. And baking powder.
One must not sieve the baking powder. You can now add 2 teaspoons to that.
And one more. We’re using sachet baking powder. Actually you can now mix the
liquid ingredients in an extra bowl. We’re a bit inert and we’ll do everything
in this bowl and we’ll add two eggs to that. Obviously, you can bake the
cake in a vegan manner as well. We’ll use two chia eggs instead of eggs for that.
Whoever wants to prepare chia eggs can read the recipe on my blog. We’ll add a bit of vanilla extract to that. Everything? Everything.
Than the coconut oil. Everything? Everything. Perfect. Now you can begin with the mixing.
Yummy, yummy, yummy. The dough became completely chocolate.
As a final step we’ll add sliced sweet potatoes, here we’ve sliced the raw sweet potatoes quite
finely. Than a bit of healthy folding in. We’ve already prepared the baking
pan. Will you hold it? We’ve prepared our baking pan and we covered the bottom with
baking paper and we’ve greased the edges so that nothing sticks. And for that, we distribute the dough in two pans. Now you can flatten it with the
spoon or with the other small spoon. Now, we’re going to bake our cake at 180 degrees
on the middle splint for approximately 40 to 45 minutes before taking it out and doing the chopstick test to check if it’s baked thoroughly. We baked the chocolate cake for 40 minutes and then we took it out. Now we’re going
to let the chocolate cake to cool down completely and we’ll make the frosting. For this tasty frosting, we’ll use sweet potatoes once again. In the meantime, I’ve already cut my sweet potatoes
in dices and softened them up with a bit of water. The dices are still tepid.
They’ll go in a mixer. A bit of salt. A bit of salt. Everything?
No. Not everything. Quite a few. We’ll add cocoa powder. We’ll add cocoa powder. We’ll put in some dates. Avocados are totally tasty for the consistency and for the creaminess. They add healthy fats to the frosting.
We’ll add the ripe avocado halves. And they’re done and we’ll put
them in the mixer. Firmly! Such a tasty chocolate frosting. However,
I want it to be quite sweet so I add a bit of maple syrup to it. Be sure to deposit the open maple syrup in the refrigerator. So, the frosting is already ready and the cake now
looks completely cooled down. Now we’ll tackle the form. Oh, nothing sticks. Great! I’ll add a bit of frosting on my cake plate so that
the cake doesn’t get misplaced. Then we’ll put it up. And place it on the top. Do we have small clots? No.
Now sweep the cream in the middle. I want to have the flat side of the second cake
upwards. And I’ll try that carefully. We’ve „landed“. Now you can press it.
Firmly… Great! Press it firmly. Wow… That already looks delicious. Teamwork! Will you appear
in my videos again? Yes. You’ve helped me for such a long time. That’s already a ready chocolate cake. That looks delicious…
it tastes just as delicious… super juicy. And now I’ll just leave the cake for one hour in the refrigerator.
I think it tastes even better. You can find the recipe with all measurements on my blog www.mrsflury.com.
